Facility and Accomodation
Facility and Accomodation provided at Naba Basanta Old Age Home.
Accommodations:
At present, there are 32 rooms in total. 12 rooms in Ground Floor and 20 in First Floor.
Each room has an attached bathroom, electrical points for two Lights, one Fan, a TV, a Geyser, and other minimum necessary furniture like Bed, Mattress,Alna,Almirah,Chair Table etc.for the residents.
Food:
All residents will normally share common Vegetarian/Non-Vegetarian meals in the dining room. Any delivery constraints, medically prescribed, would be catered to as per as possible. Separate cooking would not be allowed. The management of the kitchen shall be done by the administration. Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea with Light Snacks, and Dinner will be given at the specified time.
Health Care:
An Experienced Doctor will visit the Home once in week, or when required, with extra payment by the residents.To look after the residents full time trained Nurse’s or Aaya’s will be there in the Home with some emergency medicines to look after the residents.
Warden will do the needful in case of serious illness when one may be required to be shifted to Nursing Homes, Hospitals, or a Medical College.
Management will inform the relatives mentioned in the application form. In such cases, the resident is to bear all the costs of medical treatment and special services.
Recreations:
There will be a Community Hall along with a Library where Books, Journals, News Papers(English & Bengali) will be available to read . Some arrangements of Indoor Games, and a TV will be provided. Sometimes other cultural programmes are also organised.
Last Rites:
In case of death, Management will inform the relatives whose name, address ,contact no ,Email,is mentioned in the application form by the resident.If there is no response from the concerned within one day, cremation will be done as per usual custom, or the dead body will be given to the Police or the Medical College Authority.
Eligibility
Our Mission
- The age of the applicant should be between 60 Years to 75 Years.
If a couple applied for accommodation, this condition is not applicable to the wife. - The applicant should be able to pay for monthly boarding & lodging with necessary security money. Charge payable by the residents shall be determined by the Management of Shree Shree Ramkrishna Samity or its nominee from time to time, depending on market conditions/costs.
- All rooms are Single Beded.Only Old Aged married couples are allowed to stay here.In case of that an extra bed will be provided to convert the room as Double Beded.
There are 12 rooms in Ground Floor, and 20 rooms in First Floor.
The present charges payable by the residents are as follows

Single Bedded Room(Ground Floor): Each bed including food Rs 6600/- per month.
Single Beded Room(First Floor): Each bed including food Rs 7600/- per month. - Double Beded Room(Only for Old Age married Couples.) Ground Floor & First Floor: Rs 10000/- per month including food.
- Security: Rs 30000/-(For Single Beded Room) & Rs 50000/-(For Double Beded Room, in case of Old Age married Couples)is to be deposited in a Nationalised Bank or P.O in the name of Shree Shree Ramkrishna Samity A/c. “Old Age Home”, which will be repayable to a nominee after the expiry of the person concerned. Money will be refunded if the person is leaving the Home permanently.
- Recurring Monthly payment on account of food & establishment shall be made in the account of Shree Shree Ramkrishna Samity A/c. Old Age Home. A standing instruction in the bank account of the resident is a must for this purpose. All payments are to be made in advance.
- Physical Fitness: Normal
Funding
- ”NABA BASANTA” will be self self-financed and self-sustained institution after the construction by Shree Shree Ramkrishna Samity.
- Residents will meet for all kinds of expenses to run the Institution on a no-profit no no-loss basis.
- A core of central fund will be created from donations or subscriptions from the residents for miscellaneous activities of the Home.
